Let's Go Surfing Now...

Kristi and her girls were here a few weeks ago for their annual girl's trip to Jacksonville.  While they were here all the kids (and Jonathan) took a surfing lesson.  Jacksonville Surf & Paddle did a private lesson for us and they were phenomenal with the kids.

What's New...

So… what's new?  Well you may have noticed how I've been a slacker about updating around here.  Some of that is because I was offered a gig as a contributor for our local Jacksonville Moms Blog.  I've only been a member of the team for a few weeks, but I'm very excited for the new opportunity.  

Orange & Blue...

We took the kids down to Gainesville for the Orange & Blue game a few months ago.  It was a blast.  The weather was stunning and it was not very crowded.  They loved seeing the players and meeting the cheerleaders.

More Magic Kingdom...

Here are a few more favorites from our 2nd day at the Magic Kingdom.

Epcot...

On day 4 we visited Epcot.  Epcot has always been my absolute favorite park.  We had so much fun there!  The kids loved exploring the different countries and riding tons of rides.  

Hollywood Studios...

Day 3 was spent at Hollywood Studios.  It was kind of off to a rocky start because neither of us had been there in a million year (like back when it was called MGM studios).  It was another great day and the kids discovered the Toy Story ride, which they LOVED.  

Wheeeeeeee...

Jonathan was great about taking a bunch of pictures of us on all the rides.  I love them all.

The Magic Kingdom...

After Animal Kingdom on the first day we took the monorail over to Chef Mickey for dinner with the characters.  I posted some of those pictures way back when we were actually on vacation and you can see them here.  

On the second day of our magical vacation we went to the Magic Kingdom.  We started off the day in an empty park (pictures here) and breakfast with the princesses (pictures here).  The princess breakfast and getting into the park early was truly one of the most incredible parts of our trip for me.  I would highly recommend it.  Here are a few more pictures from the Magic Kingdom.

Disney (Finally)...

So I have finally gotten the pictures from our Disney Photopass and I've finally sorted through most of the 1000+ pictures from our trip.  I've picked out a few dozen of the highlights to share.  I thought it would be easiest to just go chronologically through our vacation, so let's start at the beginning.  

Our first park was Animal Kingdom.  The park was not very crowded at all and I'm pretty sure we didn't wait in line for more than 5 minutes for anything.  While at Animal Kingdom we got to meet Dug & Russell from UP!  The kids also spent some time with Chip & Dale.

The Whole Gang...

St. Augustine...

Ahhhhh yes, St. Augustine. That vacation we took MONTHS ago.  I've had these pictures sitting on my desktop forever waiting to share with you.  Here are some of our little family.

Awesome...

When I asked Cole how he liked Kindergarten on Monday afternoon he told me "It was awesome mom.  Not just cool, awesome."  Here are a few more from Monday morning.

Family Pictures...

I'm trying to be good about using the timer/remote on my camera.  Even if it means setting it on a little railing very, very high above a ravine or waterfall.  So here's a few pictures of us on vacation and the last one is just the kids, but it makes me smile to see those beautiful blue eyes looking up at me.

11 Years...

If you had asked me 11 years ago what I thought our lives would look like today, I never in a million years could have told you what a wonderful, beautiful, crazy thing we would have.  I'm thankful every single day that I get to spend my life surrounded by these monkeys.  

Cruisin'

About a month ago Jonathan & I took a slightly belated anniversary cruise to the bahamas.  Just us.  For 5 days and 4 nights.  It was fantastic.  One of the best parts was exploring the Atlantis resort.  I think we're going to try to get back there with the kids some time soon.

Thanksgiving...

We spent Thanksgiving weekend camping (in cabins) at Lake Louisa State Park. It was by far the best Thanksgiving EVER. There were lots of campfires and we even got our whole family of 4 in a canoe.
