Autograph...

This is how Cole writes his name right now. He does the o - l - e all by himself and I usually have to remind him to add a c to the beginning. Not too shabby for a not-quite-three-year-old.

Outside...

We've spent a lot of time outside this summer and with the heat so bad that usually involves some type of water activity. Cole had been playing on the slip n' slide this day and then decided that he was going to run around the yard in nothing but a pull up and finally settled on the swings. Nice.

You know what...

It's way more fun to shop for girl clothes than for boy clothes.

More Legos...

These are a few from our trip to Animal Kingdom. On our last day we stopped by Downtown Disney and let Cole play at the Lego store. This might be his most favorite place on earth. I typically don't have a problem getting him out of toy stores or candy stores or pretty much any other place we go. But on this day I had to pick him up and remove him kicking and screaming and crying from the Lego store because he wanted to stay. Yeah, and he looks so sweet in the picture, doesn't he? By the way, he said he was building a house.

Legos...

I have a feeling I've posted these pictures before but I just love them so too bad. This was a day when I was cleaning out the linen closet and Cole discovered the bucket of "biiiiiig boy legos" that were on the bottom shelf. He sat at the end of the hall and played with them forever. These legos have now been relocated to his biiiiiig boy room so that he can play with them whenever he likes.

Planting...

This year, Cole and I planted seeds in an attempt to start a garden. Do you see all the seeds we planted? From all of that we got 1 tomato sprout. I'll let you know how it turns out. Oh well, he loved filling each cup with dirt and then putting the seeds in and then watering them.

It's hot here...

That's 103 degrees at 1:03pm. Ugh.

More Painting...

I've been really bad this summer about taking pictures. I mean really bad. Kristi would be horrified if she knew how long my camera had sat in the drawer. But I'm trying to be better. Here are a few more of us painting the other day. Taken with the real camera and not the ghetto one on my phone.

Happy Father's Day...

Here's a peek at the photo book Cole & I made for Jon this year. I think it turned out pretty good. And I know that I'm way behind on posting pictures. I'm working on it.

Painting & the Pool...

It seems like the only time I let Cole paint using real paints is during the summer. That's because after he's done I can strip him down and let him play (and get clean) in the pool. If you can't tell from the pool pictures, he's trying to drink the water coming out of his Nemo sprinkler.

Artist at Work...

Cole drew this picture all by himself the other day. Then he held it up and said "look mom I drew a little guy". I of course think he's a genius. Do you see how the little guy has eyes and a mouth and hair?

Animal Kingdom (part 3)...

Buzz Lightyear was also a favorite for Cole. We got to see him at the toy store at Downtown Disney. What was really cool about the toy store was that Cole was the first kid in there for the day and he got to turn the key and start the train that goes around the top of the store.

Animal Kingdom (part 2)...

Cole's favorite character was Minnie Mouse. He LOVED her. He kissed her nose and hugged her.

Animal Kingdom...

At the beginning of May we took a trip down to Orlando to use up the last day of our Disney passes. It worked out great because Animal Kingdom was practically empty. Cole was able to meet a ton of characters and we barely waited in any lines.

Dudes Do Read...

For the last few years Jonathan has volunteered to read at his Mom's school for their "Dudes Do Read" program. Every year he reads Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs and every year the kids love it.

Recovery...

Once we got the all clear from the doctor Cole was able to go and visit Woo at the hospital. When it was time for him to be discharged they pull kids out in a wagon instead of making them ride in a wheelchair. Very cool.

Will at the Hospital...

A few weeks ago Will was hospitalized for severe strep throat and had to have his tonsils removed. It was a long week for Ali & Will and we did our best to help them out as much as possible. Cole really wanted to go visit, but we had to wait until after the surgery when he was no longer contagious.

Birthday Muffins...

At Cole's school they have a tradition to bake birthday muffins with the kids when it's their special day. Last week they celebrated Cole's birthday since there's no school in August. It was awesome to go in and see the kids during snack time. Oh, and Cole sang the whole Happy Birthday song to himself. It was a riot.

A few more from School...

These are some oldies that I just realized I never shared them. These are some pictures from the Easter program and egg hunt at Cole's school. Note the picture of him sitting in the circle and not singing.
